Rockingham 2009
Last weekend Ben Whibley of Tonbridge competed at the Rockingham race circuit in Northamptonshire. He went into the race as Caterham Academy championship leader. Of the 30 competitors he qualified on the front row just 0.022 of a second behind Pole man Lee Wiggins! Ben dropped to fifth at the start but fought back hard to collect another podium finish and maintain his position as Championship leader to the delight of his sponsors Grove House Publishing and 42 Communications. The race was won by another Tonbridge man, Jeremy Webb. |
